FAQ
Why ThirtyFifty?
It's where grapes are grown. Look at a map of the world and you'll find that most of the countries where wine is produced are situated between 30 and 50 degrees latitude, North and South of the equator. That's how we found our name!
What wine tastings do you offer?
We have a number of wine tastings for private and corporate events. Our most popular private tasting is the Introductory tasting which can be followed up with the New World tasting. More specialised tastings include New Zealand, Spain, Italy, the Americas, England and Port & Wine. New for 2009 is our Cheese & Wine tasting and in 2008 we introduced a Chocolate & Wine tasting. If you have a special occasion to celebrate you could go for a Champagne vs Sparkling Wine tasting. For Corporate events we offer 3 standard packages: Silver, Gold & Platinum, and 2 Fine Wine packages plus a variety of formats from the Interactive Wine Tasting Show to Network tastings.

What's the minimum number of guests required?
For most tastings it is 10 people, however this does vary, for example we require bigger groups of 30+ for charity tastings. Contact us to find out according to the type of tasting you want to host.
Where can we hold the tasting?
We can either come to your home, your offices or any venue that is happy to accommodate us. We run many tastings in restaurants. Provided you eat there they are usually willing to let you have use of a private room, free of charge. Other venues will charge a room hire rate and often, corkage.

What are the benefits of buying wine from ThirtyFifty?
You get to try the wine before you buy and you'll discover some wines that you might not have tried otherwise. The majority of our wines are not available in the supermarkets.
Do I have to buy wine at the wine tasting?
Not if you don't want to! There is no minimum purchase but if you like a wine then you can order at the tasting or online afterwards.
Can I buy single bottles from you?
Unfortunately not. We can only sell in cases of 12. These can be mixed or all the same wine.
Can I continue to buy wine from you after the tasting?
Of course! You can order mixed cases of 12 direct from ThirtyFifty either by telephone, email or online. You can also set up a plan to buy regularly, at least 4 times a year, by joining our Latitudes Wine Plan. You'll receive a 10% discount if you buy this way.
