Private wine tastings at a glance
If you're unsure what type of tasting you'd like, below are our tried and tested favourites. If you have your own ideas or want a certain theme just get in touch and we can work with you to come up with your own bespoke tasting. All prices for private tastings are inclusive of VAT and subject to a minimum charge for 10 people. Introduction to Wine Tasting
A great starting point whether you want to learn the basics or add to your wine knowledge. Learn how to taste wine, how to spot quality and lots more! We taste a selection of 7 to 8 wines from around the world including whites, reds and usually a port. Prices are from £20, £25 or £30 per person.
New World Wine Tasting
This wine tasting follows on from the Introduction to Wine Tasting by starting to explore the structure of wine and the relationship between price and quality.Wines are from the New World including Australia, New Zealand, California, Argentina and South Africa. £20, £25 or £30 per person.
Themed Wine Tastings
Inspire your guests by choosing a wine country or region of the world as a theme for your evening and for the food! Popular themes are our Italian Wine Tasting, Spanish Wine Tasting or Americas Tasting (California, Chile and Argentina). Antipodeans will enjoy our New Zealand Wine Tasting or why not try a selection of English wine - you'll be pleasantly surprised at how good they are! Prices from £25, £30 or £35 per person.
Champagne & Sparkling Wine Tasting
An absolutely fabulous tasting of Champagnes and top quality sparkling wines from around the world. Find out why Champagne is so expensive and whether you can actually tell the difference between real Champagne and quality fizz - is it worth paying the extra? We show you how to create Champagne cocktails, invite you taste a wine with chocolate and, if you're in the garden, we can even teach you the art of sabrage! From £30, £35 or £40 per person.
Cheese & Wine Tasting
Calling all foodies! Cheese really is a great partner for both white wines and reds and even fizz! We've matched 7 delicious continental and British cheeses with a selection of wines to show you how to pair them together. We bring crackers and grapes to complete the cheeseboard. From £35 or £40 per person.
Chocolate & Wine Tasting
Wine drinking Chocoholics, look no further. We've teamed up with chocolatiers Rococo to bring you a chocolate and wine tasting with various types of white, milk and dark chocolate matched to wines. We've covered a range of wines that work best - it really was hard working finding the winning combinations, but someone had to do it... From £35 or £40 per person.
Food & Wine Matching
If you've ever wondered why you like a wine or a particular food & wine pairing while your friend or other half doesn't, then this tasting is for you. We'll show you a simple way to understand how food and wine can or can't be matched and help you discover the reasons why you may like a red wine with a curry, while your friend prefers a medium sweet white! Using the latest research find out about your own genes and how they drive your personal preferences in food & wine, whether you have a sweet tooth, even how much salt you like, and how to use this to get the best combinations. From £30 per person.
Beer Tasting
Beer lovers will love the chance to sample some of the finest brews from the UK and Europe and taste a few more unusual tipples from boutique breweries. We taste 10 beers including traditional bitters & stouts, wheat beers, fruit flavoured beers and premium international lagers. While we taste have some lighthearted fun with our beer and pub trivia quiz. We can also combine beer tasting with wine tasting with 5 beers and 4 wines to taste. From £25 or £30 per person with an upgraded selection of beers/wines in our £30 tasting.
