As part of our media work with wine we often come across a number of interesting wine sites. Below is a list of different types of wine sites. This is not an exhaustive list of sites but a list of top sites you may want to consider looking at.
Wine education websites
If you are a budding homebrew wine maker, Great Homemade Wine. Has a step by step instructions how to make homemade wine from juice or grapes.
Buying Wines
While we would prefer you looked at the ThirtyFifty wine shop there are other excellent websites around that you can use to purchase wines. There are other organisations that sell wine on a monthly, quarterly or even yearly basis. Wineclubwizard.com has an excellent list of different wine clubs where you'll find information and reviews about wine clubs plus tips to increase your wine knowledge.
Perhaps the most useful site is Wine Searcher, a great place to locate and compare wine prices both in the UK and in other countries.
Wine recommendation sites
Everybody in the world of wine has an opinion and many people have set up excellent sites recommending wines. Below is a list of great sites that recommend wines.
A very popular site is the Wineanorak.com by Jamie Goode. Jamie has a Phd in Plant biology and the author of Wine Science. Jamie has been interviewed for the UK Wine Show a number of times (Show 50 Wine Closures with Jamie Goode, Show 38 Jamie Goode on Wine Science and Show 36 Jamie Goode on wine faults)
Tom Cannavan of wine-pages, produces an excellent round up of wines and news.
Wine Magazines
There are a number of good wine magazines, Decanter website is an excellent wine news site and the Decanter magazine is a must for most wine buffs.

The leading supplier of wine gifts and accesories is a site owned by waiters friend called The wine gift centre. Do have a look at some of their highly innovative products
