WSET Level 3 Exams & Resits
During the Covid-19 pandemic, no in-person exams are planned at our central London venue (Browns Covent Garden) until November 2020. In the meantime we are running exams in Twickenham on a limited basis for our Level 3 students.
- You must bring photo ID to sit an exam.
- We require three weeks notice to register you for an exam with the WSET.
WSET L3 Theory Exam
Price: Free for our students or £100 for all re-sits
The Theory exam is a two hour paper with 50 Multichoice questions and four short written answers. A minimum of 55% in both is required to pass this part of the course.
Please allow two and a half hours including administration.
WSET L3 Tasting Exam
Price: Free for our students or £70 for all re-sits
The Tasting exam consists of a blind tasting of two wines. A 55% pass rate is required to pass the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines overall.
Please allow one hour to sit this exam.
L3 Tasting Exam & Masterclass
Price: Free for our students or £150 for all re-sits
The Tasting Masterclass is a three hour private tasting and tuition to help students calibrate their palate with our examiner.
Before sitting the Tasting Paper, the student will taste a number of wines and complete a marked mock exam.
The Tasting Masterlcass & Exam is included free for all our students, both classroom and online.
Please allow four hours for the course and exam.

Getting to Twickenham
Strawberry Hill train station is the closet station, however the trains are slower and only 4 per hour, so make sure you know which train you want to catch. Twickenham has fast trains from Waterloo regularly, however the walk is approximately 15 mins walk. There is plenty of free parking on Tower Road during the weekend.

You can transfer your place to another date with 2 weeks notice. During the Covid-19 pandemic, exams can be cancelled up to the point that the exam is due to start without any financial penalty.
