- Tim Hanni MW sensory perception 2
Overview
Tim Hanni is an MW and chef, we talk to Tim about how we perceive wine, whether it is alcohol, tannins or acidity. Because we all taste wines differently and therefore the different components in wine radically change the balance for each individual person, Tim has concluded that a wine that tastes great for him may not taste great for other people. As a result Tim has therefore started a wine competition where people with similar taste profiles judge wines they like. This is a radical departure from the current wine industry norm where wine experts decide what you should like, even if you taste differently to them.
