- Hambledon Vineyard with Ian Kellett
Overview
Ian Kellett is co-owner of Hambledon Vineyards who produce solely sparkling wine. Hambledon is located in Hampshire, between Winchester and Petersfield on the chalky downs. 65% of plantings are Chardonnay and then the remaining is roughly half Pinot Noir and half Pinot Meunier. Hambledon is on the site of England's first commercial vineyard established in 1952 in collaboration with Pol Roger. Ian tells us about this history and his own background as well as plans to build the Hambledon brand and the Mill Down brand which will sit below it.
