Closing bubbles with Dave Pahl from Zork
This show was published 18 September 2009
Dave Pahl is CEO of Zork, the wine closures company that has recently launched their latest innovation for closing bottles of sparkling wine. The closure has an outer cap, inner collar, internal foil and a seal. The cap comprises a tamper evident tear band which you tear off to open. The cap makes the traditional pop of a champagne cork and can be re-sealed. With the trend in sparkling wine to enjoy everyday instead of just on special occasions its convenient to be able to re-seal the bottle. The closure uses the same foil as screwcaps so that the CO2 (bubbles) don't escape but it also allows some oxygen into the wine for bottle development.
The UK Wine Show is sponsored by ThirtyFifty. Our team of wine tasters are busy entertaining and educating UK consumers to help them get the most out of wine.
The music used for the UK Wine Show is Griffes de Jingle 1 by Marcel de la Jartèle and Silence by Etoile Noire.
