Overview

Denbies is the UK's leading winery based tourist venture winning numerous awards for their visitor centre as well as their wines.

Denbies was first planted 1986 with the maiden vintage in 1989. Since then work has been on going to increase the visitors to the winery which are currently 300,000 visitors a year. 75% of wine sales are through the visitor centre but they also supply to the trade and to supermarkets including Waitrose and Somerfield.

In 1993 the chateau style winery building opened with wine tours and winery train. In 1994 Denbies won the South East England Visitor Attraction of the Year award. 2000 saw the opening of the performing arts library. In 2001 the 360 Cinematic Tour was introduced and a year later in 2002 the Vineyard Train Tour opened. In 2007 they opened a garden centre on the site.
