Overview
Susy Atkins is an award-winning wine writer and broadcaster. She writes a weekly column for the Sunday Telegraph and is wine editor for Delicious magazine.
Susy first got into wine writing 17-18 years ago when she joined Wine Magazine (now Wine & Spirit) as a young reporter and gained her WSET qualifications. In 1994 she went freelance and spent 6 weeks in Australia reporting news on the vintage back to the UK. Susy has been wine editor at Delicious since it was launched 3 years ago and began writing for the Sunday Telegraph 18 months ago in their Stella magazine which is aimed at female readers.
Susy lives near Exeter in Devon and is impressed by the quality of the local wines in the South West - especially the sparklers and whites. She recommends Camel Valley in Bodmin, Cornwall, Sharpham in Devon and Kenton Vineyard near Exeter. For more info on Susy please visit www.susyatkins.co.uk
