Le Wine Blog might be banned in France
As part of a report relating to addictions and strategies for reducing the damage, the French Government has suggested that alcohol promotion should be formally forbidden on the internet and social media, including the promotion of wine. Wine Merchants and Wine tourism sites would be exempt but wine bloggers would fall into the unauthorised category as would specific advertising and promotion of wine. This would be similar to the stance taken on tobacco advertising, although since a modification in the 1991 Evin Law regarding tobacco and alcohol advertising, many online sites have been allowed to relax their strict anti-alcohol rules.
