Australia knocked off the top spot for online sales

A recent Wilson Drinks report shows that the UK online wine market is growing. Online shoppers spend more per bottle than they do offline spending on average £6.89 per bottle and are more likely to buy red wine than white. So which countries are benefiting from this online purchasing? The winner is France with 30% of the market. Spain has 12% market share online with a 4% volume decline so it's expected that Italy in 3rd place, also with 12% and a growth up by 6%, will be knocking them off this spot. New Zealand is in 4th position with 11% and Australia with 10%. Australia's position is in stark contrast to it's offline position where it is the best selling nation. So the Aussies need up their game, and the Spanish need to watch the Italians!
