More brits consider themselves wine buffs
A recent survey by Co-op has revealed that Brit shoppers are feeling more confident about their wine knowledge and 41% admitted to taking a more expensive bottle of wine around to a friends house in a bid to impress them with their wine knowledge. 7 out of 10 said they were more interested in wine than they were 10 years ago. Co-op has reported seeing a shift in fine wine purchases in the last year. Those surveyed said their wine preferences were Rose 11%, Prosecco 10%, Merlot 9% and Chardonnay 8%.
