What does Brexit speech mean for the trade ?

After last weeks Brexit speech by Theresa May the wine and spirit industry looked at it's potential impact. The 2 biggest concerns for the industry are the impact of leaving the single market and the issue of restricted immigration. The second point having a massive impact on the hospitality trade who rely heavily on immigrant workers. The hospitality trade have asked for a 10 year timescale in order for employers to adapt to the dramatic change in their workforce. May also made it clear there would definitely be no membership of the single market but access to it through a comprehensive Free Trade Agreement. Industries must now look to open up trade with the rest of the world not just it's closed neighbours.
