Introduction of the VI-1 form for European wines delayed until December 2021
The British Government had delayed the introduction of the VI-1 form for European wines until December.
The VI-1 form is an import document that many in the wine industry do not believe is needed. Wines from outside Europe always had to supply the documents to be allowed to enter any European country. However, they were not required for wines moving within the EU.
When Britain left the EU, the re-introduction was initially delayed till the 30th June 2021, but will now be required for wines after the 31st December 2021.
