US trade deal with EU paused with 25% punitive tarrifs on EU wine exported to America dropped

The US and EU have paused the trade dispute over airplane subsidised, that had seen punitive taxes on EU wines and spirits. Previously, 25% was added to French wines and spirits as well as to other products being exported from the EU. The taxes have had a major effect on the cost competitiveness of French wines and as a result let to reduced sales. Scottish Whisky was also caught up in the tit for tat tariffs and the US did not drop the 25% tax on Scotch Whisky after Brexit.
