Decanter announces award results with Wine Society winning Outstanding Retailer of the year

The Wine Society picked up 6 awards and won Outstanding Retailer, with Waitrose winning supermarket of the year.

The Wine Society is a not-for-profit wine retailer, judges noted their superb buying team, a range that displays not only wonderful diversity but also outstanding value, plus a fierce commitment to on-going innovation and customer service. They won Outstanding Retailer of the Year, Large Online Retailer of the Year, Virtual Wine Experience of the Year, Austria Specialist Retailer of the Year, Portugal Specialist Retailer of the Year and South & Regional France Specialist Retailer of the Year.

The Judge's Choice award went to the Online Wine Tasting Club for their fun, quirky online events using innovative foil pouch to send the wines by post. The award was given to the wine retailer doing something different, innovative and creative and all entrants in all categories were eligible. Great achievement guys!
