Tik Tok influencer ad banned in UK

Influencers who take cash to promote drinks need to follow the law as Whisp Drinks ad is banned in the UK by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

Whisp Drinks, in Cornwall and makers of a Whisp seltzer (water with added alcohol and flavours), has had it’s TikTok ad banned after it encouraged excessive alcohol consumption, made illegal nutritional claims about weight loss and used someone who looked under 25.

According to the ASA, TikTok said that the video was branded content promoting alcohol, which was globally prohibited on their platform, and that it had been removed.
