OIV announces world's biggest wine producers and drinkers in 2023

The world's largest producer of wine changes each year with Italy winning the last 5 years, but in 2023 France pipped Italy to the post by producing 45.8 mhl to Italy’s 43.9 mhl.

World wine production was down by 7% compared to the already below average 2022. 2023 was the lowest world wine production since 2000.
