Aussies sell oodles to land of noodles

Downunder, sales are on the up as Australian wine is finding favour with the Chinese. Sales to China have soared by 482 per cent in the past year, according to figures released by the Australian Wine & Brandy Corporation. This is great news for the Australians as they are able to syphon some of their wine lake to the East, being that the increased sales are mostly of cheaper or discount wine. However, China is still only a small market export-wise compared to the UK. We are Australia’s largest wine importer and Aussie wine accounts for almost a quarter of our market.
