Port house declares 2007 vintage

2007 has been declared a vintage year in the Douro Valley by the Symington family across three of their Port brands, Graham's, Warre's and Dow's.

The opportunity to declare a vintage for Port happens only two or three times each decade with Graham's and Dow's last declared in 2000 and Warre's in 2000 and 2003.

2007 was characterised by near perfect conditions in the Douro with, according to Rupert Symington, a long unbroken period of sunshine in the lead up to the harvest.

Other houses are expected to follow.
