Italy's first non-alcoholic wine
Italy's first de-alcoholized wine has been launched, called Winezero. The wine will be available in red, white and rose and contains 0.5% alcohol as it is impossible to remove 100% of the alcohol. To reomve the alcohol the wine is deconstructed separating the alcohol from the rest of the components. It is then rebuilt, without the alcohol. Friends and co-founders of Winezero, Manuel Zanella and Massimiliano Bertolini used Spanish grape varieties Tempranillo and Verdejo to make the wines but hope to introduce new varieties made with Italian grapes and expand the brand outside of Italy.
