Bonded warehouse roof gives in to snow

Bonded wine warehouse London City Bond were trying to salvage stocks of wine this week after the roof of their warehouse in Purfleet, Essex collapsed due to the heavy snow fall leaving any undamaged wine exposed to sub-zero temperatures.

London City Bond said alternative bonded premises were operational almost overnight allowing 40,000 cases to be transferred within 3 days on behalf of over 100 customers. Fortunately no-one was in the building at the time of the incident.
