Wine News

No wine please, I'm pregnant & French!

French wine bottles are to carry health warnings telling pregnant women of the dangers of drinking alcohol. The law, passed last week, makes it compulsory for all alcohol imported and sold in France to display the warning. Producers can choose either to put a written warning on their label or print a government-approved symbol with a barred red circle showing the silhouette of a pregnant women drinking from a glass. The law comes into effect on the 3rd October 2007.
