Welsh Wine Week promotes homegrown wines

With the popularity of homegrown wines increasing, vineyards across Wales this week are taking part in Welsh Wine Week offering tours and tasting sessions to consumers. Among the 28 vineyards participating is White Castle Vineyard in Abergavenny who are launching their first ever wines from vines planted in 2009. Welsh Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Food, Fisheries & European Programmes, Alun Davies, said: With the awareness and popularity of homegrown wines on the increase among consumers, there's never been a better time for us to help further raise the profile of Welsh wine and spread the word about its quality and future potential.
