Producer

Lorgeril is an independent family business founded in 1620. One of the oldest wine producing families in France. Nicolas and Mirren de Lorgeril took over the family business in 1987. The Chateau De Pennautier winery is situated in 6 domaines in France in the Languedoc Roussillon area surrounded by the garrigue covered moutainside slopes.

Viognier

Region

Narbonne is in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. This region is undergoing a revolution in quality. Poor quality, high-yielding grape varieties have been replaced with classic varieties, such as Merlot. Flying Kiwis and Australians spend their winter coming to the Northern Hemisphere's summer to make wine.

Style

These wines are more distinctive in style than the mainstream grape varieties and usually provoke a love/hate response! Worth testing out on your tastebuds is a Gewurztraminer for a luscious & fragrant wine with lychee, lime and apricot aromas. This wine is wonderful with Chinese or Thai food. Discover the full on fruitiness of the fabulous Riesling grape which develops petrol aromas as it ages.
