Crown Wine Cellars (CWC) provides high quality wine storage in Hong Kong, we talk to Greg De'eb about the fine wine market in Hong Kong.
The wine cellars serve customers from mainland China and Hong Kong with 2 sites - 1 in Hong Kong itself and 1 that has just opened in the new territories. Greg talks about the market for fine wine in Hong Kong and mainland China where by far the most important category is the Bordeaux first growths followed by Burgundy. Hong Kong is unique in that alcohol is free of tax whereas on the mainland it is taxed. As well as providing a storage facility there is a private members club which you have to belong to if you want to store your wine with CWC.
