Decanter & IWC trophy winners and champions announced
Argentina is the one to watch when it comes to wine, outperforming other nations to scoop the most trophies at the Decanter World Wine Awards. It won six international trophies - the most wine awards of any single country and a first for the competition. New Zealand took home three international trophies, followed by Australia with two. Meanwhilte over at the International Wine Challenge trophies went to a broad range of countries, Australia winning champion red and France, champion white. Tesco Finest Premier Cru Champagne won great value champion sparkling and Tesco won best own label range. In both the IWC Merchant Awards and the Decanter awards though Waitrose triumphed, winning the best supermarket of the year award.
