Rapel Valley

Rapel Valley (pronounced Rah-pel). In the UK, Chile is the most prominent of South American wine regions. Investment in the early 1990s is now paying off to produce some excellent quality wines. Chile has near perfect conditions for growing vines - the climate is ideal with the cooling effect of winds from the Pacific. Limitless water is available for irrigation from the Andes. Villa Rosa in the Rapel Valley has recently been selected as one of the '21 hottest' wineries in the world.
