- Jancis Robinson MW on Wine Education
Overview
Jancis Robinson MW is a world-leading wine writer with a weekly column in the FT. We ask her about her wine education and her advice for those wanting to further their own knowledge.
In 1975 Jancis began her wine education by studying with the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. In 1978 she won the top prize for the WSET diploma and in 1984 passed her MW while filming the Channel Four wine programme and pregnant with her second child. Jancis was the first wine writer to take the MW. Jancis recommends the WSET as a good way to further your wine education as well as getting to know a good local independent wine retailer who can help you learn and recommend different wines.
