Hermann Seifried of the Seifried Winery in Nelson, New Zealand is an Austrian who has lived in New Zealand for 40 years and been making wine since 1976. Hermann and his family now have 200 hectares of the 800 hectares of vines planted in Nelson. His 200 hectares are divided into 6 vineyards producing a range of grape varieties. In this interview we focus on the problem of volatile acidity and on Seifried's award-winning dessert wines.
