Overview
Jonathan Harclerode is the Co-Founder and CEO of Bottlebooks,
a platform that wine businesses can use to exchange information about their wines. Importers or producers can load information and send to their partners and customers and retailers can also request data from Bottlebooks. Producers are responsible for deciding who can access the information by setting up their portfolio as public or private. It is a trade only service, not available to the general public. Think about it as a Dropbox for wine allowing information to be shared. Bottlebooks make their money from importer's or producer's paid for subscriptions. The platform was used at the London Wine Fair in 2016 giving them a great opportunity to expand. Before the fair they had 6,000 wines listed and afterwards the number increased to 11,000.
