Overview

Julien Mingot tells us about the region of Lalande de Pomerol. At Chateau La Pensee they grow 100% Merlot in just 2 hectares of vineyard. Located north west of Pomerol, the soils are sand and limestone. We taste the 2013, its very first vintage. The wines of the region have good structure but an easy approach and can be aged for up to 10 years. Compared to Pomerol the wines are good value and less expensive.
