Survey says most wine drinkers don't return faulty wine

You’ve bought a bottle of wine that’s corked or faulty, so do you take it back to the shop and complain? Apparently, lots of us don’t, according to a survey by Which? magazine. Which? asked nearly 3,000 members whether they’d ever had a faulty wine and found that 47 per cent had, but nearly a quarter of them hadn’t sent or taken it back. Drinkers were most likely to complain about a bad bottle in a restaurant, with 85 per cent sending it back to the sommelier, compared to 72 per cent returning wine in pubs and bars. But the survey found that nearly half of drinkers discovering a faulty bottle at home couldn’t be bothered to take it back to the shop.
