Wine fraudster gets wrist slapped

25 year old wine fraudster Scott Andrews took at least £60,000 from investors but bought no wine. Andrews who was the sole director of Capital Bordeaux Investments Ltd has now been banned from acting as a UK director for 11 years. He told clients that their wines were stored at London City Bond's warehouse but actually he had no account with them. The company was wound up in the public interest in May 2014. Since the disappearance of Capital Bordeaux Investments investors have reported receiving numerous calls from similar alternative investment companies offering to sell them wine, gold and other luxury items.
