Denis Dubourdieu named Decanter Man of the Year 2016
Denis Dubourdieu has been named Decanter Man of the Year 2016. As a graduate, Dubourdieu was initially turned down for a job at Château Latour but he has gone onto greater things, such as being a consultant to some of the best Bordeaux wine estates, including Château d’Yquem, Cheval Blanc and Margaux. He has published more than 200 research papers, taught leading winemakers and produced wine at his own estates, Château Reynon, Doisy-Däene and Clos Floridène. He is also founder of a prestigious wine education and research centre called the Institut des Sciences de la Vigne et du Vin, which he established in 2009.
