Food & Wine at Glastonbury?
Some of us are off to Glastonbury this week, so if you're not looking to drink beer and cider all weekend, the important question is where can you find a decent wine? The Underground Piano Bar is a legendary magical Glastonbury venue renowned for it's secrecy, moving to a different location each year. The founder Michael Eavis hangs out here and there are secret sets played by world famous bands. So we'll let you know if we ever find it. Bumpkin London have teamed up with the Pop Up Hotel to offer a popup British Brasserie with waiting staff and plated food service in the dining room, along with some more casual dining experiences. They will have a dedicated bar for the hotel open until late and a small stage with intimate acoustic jam sessions for hotel guests. If that's too swanky for you, The Park on the south side of the festival is where you can grab a wine (not in a glass as there is a no glass policy on site) and head up the hill to enjoy a great view over Glastonbury. Organic wines, fine ales and good food will be available at the Avalon Cafe and Ye Olde Medieval Avalon Inn in the Field of Avalon area. Alternatively you can sit in the dry comfort of your own home with a proper glass and watch the highlights from your sofa.
