Pre-filled wine glasses for al fresco drinking
A new non-shattering, pre-filled wine glass designed for outdoor drinking is being launched in time for summer. The Tulipak, created by Al Fresco Wines, does away with the need for a corkscrew and the bottle. It is a foil-sealed PETa wine glass, which will not only avoid breakages but will also reduce service time at the bar and spillages from carrying drinks through crowds at busy events.
Initially, the glasses, which are equivalent to a quarter of a bottle, will be available filled with Australian Shiraz, Chardonnay or a rosé from California under the Trencherman brand. In the future, however, major wine brands will be able to use the Tulipak to package under licence.
Al Fresco Commercial Director James Nash said, ‘The Tulipak will help wine lovers to enjoy wine anywhere that glass is not welcome.’
Trencherman multi-packs will also be going in to some supermarkets from the end of May. These contain two pre-filled Tulipaks and will be priced from £3.85.
