Single bottle of wine sells at Charity Auction for $350,000
A single bottle of wine was sold at Carnivale du Vin, the American chef Emeril Lagasse’s annual charity wine auction, on 4 November in New Orleans for US $350,000.(£266,700) making it the most expensive 750ml bottle of wine ever sold.
The wine is The Setting Wines Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 and was made by winemaker Jesse Katz. A group of wine collectors clubbed together to buy the wine.
