London enters Tier 3 as restaurants and bars close

London has joined much of England in Tier 3 with an estimated 38 million people now in the highest ranking tier. Under Tier 3, pubs, restaurants and hotels will have to close, except for takeaway, delivery, click-and-collect or drive-through services.

However, people in Bristol and Liverpool will celebrate a little as both are in a very, very small group who have ever moved down a tier from 3 to 2 and can now go to pubs, bars and restaurants, albeit in limited gatherings with those in their household or support bubble.
