US bulk wine imports jump by 10%
The US has seen bulk wine imports jump by 10% to nearly 490 million litres.
The main country they import from is Canada, accounting for almost 40% of the volume. The wine is shipped in bulk and then bottled in the importing country meaning a much lower carbon footprint than shipping bottles and lower shipping costs.
Chile is the second biggest bulk wine shipper to the US, followed by Australia, South Africa and Argentina.
