Treasury launch natural wines in Australia
Treasury Wine Estates, the Australian giant behind 19 Crimes, is launching a range of 3 natural wines under a new eye-catching brand called Second Glance. The range is made up of an Amber Wine, a Chillable Grenache and a Pet Nat.
They will be retailed in Australia through Vintage Cellars at premium price point of AU$30 (similar level to the price of a Beaujolais Villages).
Australia is a good test market for mainstream Natural wines and if successful other big Australian wine companies could follow. The next markets for Treasury to target could well be the US or UK.
