Chapel Down to list on AIM

England's largest wine producer Chapel Down is targeting listing on the AIM stock market. Chapel Down is currently listed on the Aquis Stock Exchange with a market capitalization of £67m.

The hope is that the deeper investment pools AIM will support the share price and help make raising further funds easier as it looks to build a new £30M winery near Canterbury. This is needed to handle their target of 3,000T of fruit by 2028. They currently own, lease and source from 750 acres of fully productive vineyards in South East England, with an additional 156 acres being planted in 2022/23.

AIM (formerly the Alternative Investment Market) is a sub-market of the London Stock Exchange and is often used by smaller companies, because of its less rigorous reporting requirements.
