First of new crop of English wine books

A new book that takes a tour around the UK’s vineyards will be available from Saturday, in time for the start of English Wine Week. Grape Britain, the first of four books being published on English wine this year, is by David Harvey and details the grapes and the wines as well as giving background information on our wine-producing area. It also introduces the people involved in our vineyards and with making the wines.

Julia Trustram Eve, marketing director of English Wine Producers, told ThirtyFifty, ‘There is such a buzz around English wines at the moment – reflected in the impressive number of books coming out this year on the subject! David Harvey provides some interesting insights into the characters behind the vineyards and their wines.’

The book is priced £14.99 and will be available through vineyards as well as direct from the publishers at www.nwp.co.uk (go to food and drink) and www.booksfromscotland.com.
