Brits face binge drinking clampdown
In the Queens Speech it was announced that the government is planning to ban All you can drink promotions in pubs and bars and enforce a mandatory code of conduct on anyone selling alcohol after a review found that the volulntary code had not worked.
Bars would have to offer small wine glasses and multi-pack supermarket discounts on alcohol would end. In addition, fines for drinking in public places where it is banned will go up from £500 to £2,500.
