New TV series charts wine trade
A new BBC4 TV series about different aspects of the wine trade will be on air in February and March with the first programme, called The Firm, devoted to wine merchants Berry Bros & Rudd. The episode charts a hectic year for Berry Bros and explores the company's relationship with winemakers and chateaux owners of Burgundy and Bordeaux.
The second episode, entitled The Faith, concentrates on Chateau Margaux and the 2008 growing season, while the final programme, The Future, focuses on South Africa. The programmes are narrated by Matthew Macfadyen who plays MI-5 agent Tom Quinn in Spooks. The first episode is on air on 16 February on BBC4 at 9pm.
