Lake District launches the first organic wine shop

It was a launch party with a difference last week when riders on horseback stopped by for a tasting at Britain’s first all-organic wine shop. Organico, which is located in Ambleside in the Lake District, offers over 150 organic wines, with the majority coming from Italy and supplied exclusively. Owner Peter Jackson told ThirtyFifty that, ‘The producers supply to us because we’re a small shop as they don’t want their wine ending up in supermarkets.’ The launch was well-timed to coincide with the the tourist season getting under way in the Lakes and, if you are heading that way this summer, you can find them via www.organi.co.uk
