Famous winemaker Jean Hugel has died
Famous French winemaker Jean Hugel has died in France aged 84. Known as Johnny in the wine trade he was a leading producer in the north eastern province of Alsace and credited with rebuilding the Alsation wine trade after World War II. The company, Hugel et Fils, was established in 1639 but since 1997 has been run by his three nephews. Jean leaves behind his wife Simone and their two daughters.
