A good year for Russell Crowe?

Following the success of Sideways, comes a new movie with a wine theme – this time set in France. Directed by Ridley Scott, A Good Year stars Russell Crowe and Albert Finney and is adapted from Peter Mayle’s novel of the same name. Crowe plays an investment expert who, upon losing his job at a London firm, moves to Provence to tend a vineyard he’s inherited from his late uncle. But, as he settles into his new life, a woman comes to lay claim to the property. Chateau La Canorgue in Luberon was used to shoot scenes for the film, which is due to open in British cinemas on 27 October.
