Camilla is next president of UK Vineyards Association
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall has taken over the role of President of the United Kingdom Vineyards Association (UKVA) from Lord Montagu of Beaulieu. Lord Montagu will become Honorary Lifetime President in recognition of his long term dedication and commitment to the UK wine industry.
The Duchess has shown an appreciation for English wine during her visits to Denbies Wine Estate in Surrey and Camel Valley Vineyards in Cornwall. Bob Lindo of Camel Valley says her evident interest in English wines makers her an ideal figurehead for the UK wine industry. She will host next year’s English and Welsh Wine of the Year awards at a venue yet to be confirmed.
