Miguel Torres, growing up in Spains 1st wine family

This show was published 14 January 2011

Overview

The Torres family first started making wine in Penedes in 1870, five generations ago, and today make wine in many regions of Northern Spain as well as in Chile and California. Miguel Torres junior recalls his childhood days and his first introduction to wine involving bread soaked with wine and sugar and drinking unfermented grape juice from the winery! Miguel has an MBA but also studied oenology and has of course had hands-on experience picking grapes and making wine. He is now president of Miguel Torres Chile.
